Who Are You?

When I first saw this question, it took me no time respond because I immediately thought of Maya Angelou's famous poem:

I'm a woman

Phenomenally.

Phenomenal woman,

That's me.

But now that I've taken the time to ponder this question, in addition to being a phenomenal woman, I am first and foremost a child of God. I'm proud to be a mother, a wife, a daughter, and a friend. I'm loyal, committed, giving, and careful. I'm not ashamed of my journey to get to the place where I feel comfortable in my skin and I don't judge those who have yet to find their comfort level. I'm for sure a work in progress and sometimes my progress is slow to go, but I press on. I leaning in to my purpose, accepting God's will, and praying that at the end of the day, I've made a positive impact on those who've crossed my path. In the words of my husband, "I want to be a better person than I was yesterday."
